WHAT’S YOUR TIME WORTH?

Shovelling is not free — you pay for it in hours. Run your own numbers.

Driveway, walkway, steps, and the windrow at the end — be honest.

Your estimate — Winnipeg averages about 20–25 clearing-worthy snowfalls a season.

Your wage, or what an hour of your evening is worth to you.

How the math works

Your DIY cost is simple: minutes per snowfall × snowfalls per season ÷ 60 × your hourly rate. Plan costs are full-season totals (monthly rate × 5 months, November–March); per-visit is $45 × your snowfall count. The calculator does not count the things money cannot measure: sore backs, 6 AM alarms in −30°C cold, missed work, or wrestling the plow windrow at the end of the driveway.

Season runs November–March (5 months). Final quote confirmed at your free in-person estimate.

PUT THE SHOVEL DOWN.

Your hours are worth more than this.
